The Pederson Law Offices team is dedicated to helping our clients achieve their goals. From our teams’ diverse backgrounds including engineering, accounting, insurance services, as well as mortgage banking, we use every bit of our knowledge accumulated over the past 40 years to help ensure our clients’ estate plans are thorough and efficient to administer.


Grant Pederson, Attorney

Grant received his Bachelor's degree with honors in Mechanical Engineering in 1999 from the UCSB and his Juris Doctorate with high honors from the Ventura College of Law in 2006. Prior to joining Pederson Law Offices in 2003 Grant worked as a solutions engineer for the global consulting firm Accenture, Ltd., where he helped to design and implement strategic business systems for fortune 500 companies.

Grant is a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. He is a member and past attorney chairman of the Conejo Valley Estate Planning Council. Grant is also a member of the Ventura County Bar Association and the California Lawyers Association - Trusts and Estates Section.

Grant currently resides in Westlake Village with his wife, Katie, and his two daughters, Ella and Gwen. He is honored to carry on the legacy of his father’s law practice and serve the community in which he was born and raised.


Todd Vigneux, Attorney

Todd received his bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1985 from California State University, Northridge and his Juris Doctorate with honors from the Ventura College of Law in 2006. Todd also has a Graduated Certificate in Estate Planning from the Golden Gate University. Prior to joining Pederson Law Offices in 2013, Todd was the Chief Financial Officer of a local manufacturing company.

Todd is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association and the California Lawyers Association - Trusts and Estates Section.

Todd currently resides in Thousand Oaks with his wife and son, and enjoys spending time with his daughter, son-in-law and his granddaughter.


Camille Aceituno, Attorney

Camille received her bachelor's degrees, one in Politics and one in Philosophy, in 2006 from UC Santa Cruz. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego in 2011. Prior to joining Pederson Law Offices at the beginning of 2020, Camille practiced estate planning, trust administration, and probate administration in San Diego and Chico.

Camille is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. She is also a member of the Ventura County Bar Association and the California Lawyers Association - Trusts and Estates Section.

Camille resides in Newbury Park with her husband, Jason, and their Lhasa-Poo, Pollock.


Russell Jokela, Attorney

Russell earned his Juris Doctorate degree with highest honors from the Ventura College of Law in 2022, where he was first in his class. He has been with the firm since 2013, gathering extensive estate planning experience and working in various capacities before becoming a licensed attorney. He is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association and the California Lawyers Association - Trusts and Estates Section.

Russell lives in Westlake Village with his wife, Jessica, and their son, Noah Simeon, who was born in 2020. He enjoys music, pickleball, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Russell is passionate about helping his clients achieve their estate planning goals with confidence and peace of mind.


Darlene Real, Paralegal & Notary Public

Darlene joined Pederson Law Offices as a Certified Paralegal and Notary Public in 2019. She received her Paralegal Certification in 2015 through the Los Angeles Valley College’s Professional Paralegal Academy Extension Program. Darlene brings valuable experience and knowledge regarding Property Title, Transfers, and Legal Services, stemming from her Foreclosure Processing and Sales background. Darlene spent over a decade from 2002 to 2018 working in the Mortgage Banking Industry with some of the top companies in the industry, serving as a Trustee Sales Officer, Department Operations Manager, and Client Liaison.

Darlene believes that it is important to meet our clients with equally as much compassion as knowledge when helping them through the processes of Probate, Trust Administration, and Estate Planning.

In her personal life, Darlene is a lover of both music and the outdoors, so taking in a concert, exploring local hiking trails, or spending an afternoon strolling the coastline are some of her favorite activities to enjoy with family and friends.


Jake Schroeder, Office Administrator & Notary Public

Jake received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science at California State University Channel Islands in May of 2020 and is currently a member of the National Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha. While earning his degree, Jake worked in vocational training helping to transition Veterans to the private sector.

Jake officially joined our team in January 2022 eager to gain further insight into our practice. He found us through a shared calling to serve the great community that he lives in and is currently applying to Law Schools across the country in pursuit of his own Juris Doctorate.

Out of the office, it’s more than likely that you can find Jake surfing the beaches along Ventura or exploring the trails of the Topatopa Mountains.


Seréth Malagone, Paralegal & Notary Public

Seréth Malagone

Seréth received her associate degree in Paralegal Studies and a minor in Deaf Studies from Oxnard College. She was the youngest student in her class to graduate with high honors as a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and till this day the youngest student to graduate from the paralegal program. Prior to joining Pederson Law Offices, Seréth worked in other various forms of law including Civil Litigation, Bankruptcy, Estate Administration, Immigration and Family Law. Motivated by her love for people she is always willing to help and connect with others; whether that be by learning a new language or skill to better assist those in need.

Outside of the office, you can find her participating in community service volunteer work or along California’s coastline and national parks, photographing all her adventures.


Mary McPherson, Office and Client Services Manager & Notary Public

Mary received her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Mathematics from CSU, Northridge in 1986. A life-long learner, Mary has had several careers including a programmer at Computer Sciences Corporation, an Instructor of Remedial Mathematics at CSUN and most recently, an insurance broker. Mary’s most rewarding position has been founding and operating The Amanda McPherson Foundation, a non-profit started in memory of her daughter Amanda who suddenly passed in 2003.

Mary resides in Simi Valley with her husband and business partner Phil. They are the proud parents of Krista, who earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at USC and is a manager at ESRI in Redlands. Mary joined the team in 2018 after many years as a client. She wants to use her experience, empathy, and compassion to assist our clients with their estate planning needs.


Steve Pederson, Attorney (Retired)

Steve received his Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1966, his Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from San Diego State University in 1969, and his Juris Doctorate with High Honors from Western State University School of Law in 1975. From 1966 through 1975, he worked as a Senior Design Engineer for General Dynamics Corporation, assisting in the design of numerous aerospace vehicles, including the Space Shuttle and Cruise Missile. From 1975 through 1981 he worked as an attorney in Los Angeles, California, handling civil litigation cases in the areas of aviation, product liability, medical malpractice, and vehicular accidents. In 1982 he started his own firm in Thousand Oaks, California, focusing on estate and business planning. Since then, he has been privileged to assist thousands of families in this community.

Steve Pederson has been a member of Rotary International since 1987, where he has served on many committees dedicated to improving the lives of others. He has also served as a past coach and on the Board of Directors for the Conejo Youth Basketball Association (CYBA), Conejo Valley Little League (CVLL), and the American Youth Soccer Association (AYSO). He was also a past president of the Thousand Oaks High School Boosters Club. Steve believes in the youth that makes up our community and has given much of his time to them through sports.
